Hi Victor
Thanks for your comment.
To answer your question. Know your models well and discuss with them before the shoot exactly what you are trying to achieve. Take loads of shots. These shoots usually comprise up to 1000 shots and I work in short bursts of rapid shooting. Keep the DOF as shallow as you can for maximum impact.

Hi Kade
Thanks for your nice comment. I love working with female models. I think you must gain their friendship and confidence from the start. It helps if you can talk to them about what you are trying to achieve in a shoot. Do keep talking to them all the while you are shooting - telling them how good they look and giving them some directions on how you want them to pose, etc.

I tend to shoot this style with a very wide aperture - f2.8 or f3.5 and ISO of 100 providing my shutter speed does not drop below 1/250 sec. On my Canon focusing is set to automatic ( I am as blind as a bat!) and with focusing also set to one shot. I always shoot RAW so that I have images that can be edited in Adobe Bridge in their RAW state before bringing into PS CS4. I have a number of additional plug ins such as On One, Alien Skin and NIK Silver EFX Pro.
